New Intel 11th Gen H Series Processors for Gaming Laptops of 2021

Intel is expanding upon its 11th Gen Mobile Processor line-up with its new 11th Generation H-Series Mobile Processors for gaming laptops, which are aimed at gaming, content creation as well as mobile workstations.

The main difference between the new H-Series and the U-Series is that the H-Series is paired with less powerful integrated graphics with 32 execution units, but these new UHD graphics are based on the Xe Architecture. Most importantly these new 11th Gen H-Series processors are based on Intel's 10-nanometer Superfin process technology with a max of 8 cores and 16 threads along with a single and dual-core turbo performance up to 5GHz.

Intel has also claimed that these new processors can directly access the GDDR6 memory that is attached to the GPU to ensure higher framerates with lower latency. The processors are also offering 2.5 times the total PCIe bandwidth to the CPU compared to the 10th Gen H-Series of processors.

A breakdown of the new 11th Gen H series mobile processors:
  • i9-11980HK: 8-Cores/16-threads, base clock 2.6GHz with a max turbo to 5.0GHz on 1-2 cores, 4.9GHz on four cores, 4.6GHz on six cores, 4.4GHz on eight cores, and support for 3200Hz DDR4 memory.
  • i9-11980H: 8-Cores/16-threads, base clock 2.5GHz with a max turbo to 4.9GHz on 1-2 cores, 4.8GHz on four cores, 4.6GHz on six cores, 4.4GHZ on 8 cores, and support for up to 3200Hz DDR4 memory.
  • i7-11800H: 8-Cores/16-threads, base clock 2.3GHz with a max turbo to 4.6GHz on 1-2 cores, 4.5GHz on four cores, 4.4GHz on six cores, 4.2GHZ on 8 cores, and support for up to 3200Hz DDR4 memory.
  • i5-11400H: 6-Cores/12-threads, base clock 2.7GHz with a max turbo to 4.5GHz on 1-2 cores, 4.3GHz on four cores, 4.1GHz on six cores, and support for up to 3200Hz DDR4 memory.
  • i5-11260H 6-Cores/12-threads, base clock 2.6GHz with a max turbo to 4.4GHz on 1-2 cores, 4.2GHz on four cores, 4.0GHz on six cores, and support for up to 3200Hz DDR4 memory.
