Computer and technology has made humans life so much easier. Now we can do various tasks without getting out of the house or even getting up from our couch. But as we all know that everything has its pros and cons, even though all the major IT companies are focussing on automation with the help of Artificial Intelligence which at the moment may look compelling but might lead to major problems later.

AI has completely changed the way we do things with the ability to learn and adapt to the environment for which it is required. AI has made computers smarter and has provided them with the ability to work on them on according to the set of commands that have been written in the form of algorithms by the user.

There is this interesting fact that most people don’t know about that every person that uses the internet has helped the companies to train their AI’s to be what it is today with the help of a series of tests like Captcha, Face Scanning, Voice Recognition etc. Basically, what this means is that whenever we login into some websites a screen is prompted that allows the website to confirm that we are human, not some algorithm. Recently Google has started paying people $5 for scanning their faces to make face unlock more accurate and safer with AI.

Almost all companies are implementing AI in some way or the other in their product.

FOR EXAMPLE:

  1.   Tesla has implemented Auto-Pilot in their cars that allows the car to take over on the highway allowing the driver to rest. The car will look through the traffic, maintaining the speed limit, traffic signals, etc.

  2.   Google has partnered with Waymo an automobile company which now makes 100% auto-driving cars. For years it was in testing and finally this year they started its real-world testing in Arizona.

  3.   Artificial Intelligence is present in our smartphones as personal assistants like SIRI, Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, Microsoft Cortana. They help us with our day-day tasks and help fulfill basics tasks like calling someone, adding a reminder, setting alarms or asking any query that is confusing.

Seeing all the progress in the IT sector with AI I can easily say that the future is very bright. But it still raises the question that will it be for good or might cause more problems like the one that I can think of is unemployment after humans are replaced by Robots for some tasks. Maybe it creates more employment opportunities, but right now no one can speculate.
