UBER: A NECESSITY IN THE NEW WORLD

Image
Uber has transformed world. They revolutionized the way a person orders a taxi and also introduced us to ride sharing. But all this involved a lot of research and hard work. Which makes me curious that what kind of technology do they use to make their app so seamless? But before answering this question I had to take a look at Uber’s history, how they became known to the world. In 2008 Uber’s founder in a Tech Conference announced that he would create an application that would help the world in tackling a major problem i.e. booking cabs and after just 2 years in 2010 Uber was created and launched in San Francisco. In 6 Months, they had 6000 users and around 20000 rides, this was mainly because Uber focuses on attracting both drivers as well as riders simultaneously which was a great marketing strategy. Earlier days of marketing Uber used to promote their application by word of mouth, hosting and sponsoring tech events also giving each new rider a free first ride. Nowadays,

HUAWEI ARE THEY BACK IN BUSINESS?

Image
Recently Donald Trump raised a partial ban from Huawei meaning Huawei can now trade in the US and all US-based companies can also do business with Huawei. Thus, finally, now Huawei can continue using Android even though their in house Harmony OS was significantly faster than Android. But they are still sticking with Android and will still be developing their in house OS. But now the real question is that can the users now buy a Huawei device without any risk? To answer this question let's first revise Huawei's story here. Huawei was banned from doing any business in the US because the US government was skeptical that Huawei was spying on its users.  The situation was pretty bad  as no US-based company was allowed to do any more business with Huawei. Thus, Huawei was facing a major loss as companies like Google, Microsoft, ARM, etc could no longer do business with them. Thus, losing access to Android, Windows as well as ARM technology that is used to make their Kirin

Nintendo has finally announced the long-rumored mini Nintendo Switch Console called the Nintendo Switch Lite as the name suggests is a cheaper version of the regular Nintendo Switch. So, that it could be made available to a wider audience at a price of $200 and would be available on 20th September 2019.  But Nintendo had to make a few compromises to make this lite version of the console. Before talking about the compromises lets talk about what all does the lite version of the console has to offer. Obviously, the price is better that makes the switch available to a wider audience, the battery on the lite is better than the normal switch which would be 3-7 hours, various color options available i.e. Yellow, Teal, and Light Grey ( There is also a special Pokemon Edition Switch Lite),  there is finally a proper D-Pad. But there are some problems like the main selling point of the Switch is that it could be played on T.V. as well as a handheld console. But Nintendo has comple

SONY XPERIA 1: A PHONE WITH AN ELONGATED DISPLAY

Image
Sony has been in the smartphone game for a very long time. But their phones have never brought something new to the table. This might change with their latest smartphone the Xperia 1. This new smartphone has one unique display. It is an extremely tall display at 6.5 inches 4K OLED display that supports HDR along with an aspect ratio of 21:9. Sony claims that this phone can be used for content consumption, but it is mainly useful for movies only as no other content is available in a 21:9 aspect ratio like with YouTube you will always get black bars on both the sides and if you try to zoom to fill the screen the top of the video gets cut.   There are both pros as well as cons to this phone. Let's start with the pros of the phone even though it has a large display the phone is still pretty slim and easy to use by no means can this phone be used by one hand. Sony has provided various ways of helping the users to use their phone with one hand if you double-tapping the home b

CLOUD STORAGE AN IMPORTANT PART IN THE TECH WORLD

Image
Computers have taken us a long way now. Everything has been made considerably easy to do. But storage had always been a problem for everyone until cloud storage was introduced which allowed users to add their data to the cloud and access it from anywhere around the globe as long as you have a Wi-Fi connection for a price.  Cloud Storage is very popular nowadays due to many reasons like Reliability, Security, Easy Sharing, Data Recovery, Automation, etc. Reliability: It is easy to add and remove data in the cloud as long as you have a WiFi connection and it is accessible to use all the time even if for some reason your hard drive stops working and all your data has to be deleted. Security: Companies ensure that your data is completely safe and no one has access to it. The data is distributed among the cloud servers and is securely saved there. Thus, in case of any hardware failure, your data is always safe. Easy Sharing: Cloud Storage is a great option for b
